Sofia is a music composer and sound designer for fashion, film, and media. Yes, she composes music—she’s that cool. She recently scored the acclaimed fashion documentary, “The First Monday in May” about the year-long preparation of the Met Gala. She and her husband, also a composer, share a music studio at their home in Eagle Rock, which we had the pleasure of touring.

What is your favorite way to wear your IS jeans?

With a printed vintage top, and funky heels/wedges. I like the idea of the IS jeans being the "classic" element!

What was the last movie you watched?

"Birth" by Jonathan Glazer (was doing research for a project).

Who is your girl crush?

Any of these three: Shirley Manson, Tilda Swinton, Karen O.

What was the first CD you bought?

"Jagged Little Pill" by Alanis Morissette!

What did you want to be when you grew up?

It changed a lot but it went from astronaut, to marine biologist, to being a performer.

What was the most memorable concert you ever went to?

Probably LCD Soundsystem at Terminals in NYC.

Whose style do you admire most?

Miuccia Prada!

What was the last thing you Googled?

"Places to stay in Central Coast California."

What is your musical guilty pleasure?

Kelly Clarkson for sure.

What don’t you do?

Buy bad olive oil!
