The champagne queen of Greenwich Village (and all of New York in our opinion), Ariel Arce is the woman behind our favorite spots to sip all kinds of wine--from bubbly at Air’s Champagne Parlor to sake at Tokyo Record Bar and Special Club to a little bit of everything at Niche Niche. Each of her restaurants feels like the dinner parties you wish your friends had in their non-existent giant New York apartments filled with delicious food, rad music, and of course amazing wine. We hung out with Ariel at Niche Niche where we chatted about 8 year old fashion influencers and pizza, lots of pizza.

How do you describe your style?

I need to dress for 9AM to 2AM so there’s a big focus on comfort and movability. A lot of days, I’ll wear jeans, a tee, and a sweater that’s breathable and won’t get wrinkly. I really love a monochrome outfit with a statement jacket. I wear a lot of white on white which people think is crazy in the food and booze industry. Sailors would wear white because on ships it wasn’t easy to do laundry and this way they could throw their uniforms in with the sheets and wash everything at once.

What's something that most people don't know about you?

From age 8-18 I was an actor and during some of that time, an Olympic level gymnast.

If you could steal anyone's home, whose would it be?

Donald Trump.

What was the last movie you saw?

Downton Abbey. I love the show and the movie was great.

Design your ideal dinner party with any 3 guests.

Stevie Wonder, my dad, Bill Murray--total dude party. We’d eat pizza and drink champagne on ice, Bill’s favorite.

Whose style do you admire most?

Coco Princess, she’s 8. I’m not that girl but her style is dope.

What's your guilty pleasure?

It’s pretty basic but eating pizza and binge watching TV when I should be working, because I always should be working.

What was the last concert you went to?

I get to see lots of live music because of Special Club. We opened a concert venue in the lower level of Niche Niche this year. It’s mostly blues and soul acts that do a few day residencies at a time. The last one I saw was Brian J.

What don't you do?

Unfortunately, nothing. I say yes to too many things.

What was the last thing you Googled?

John Witherspoon. My high school friend group was really into the movie Friday and he died recently so we were texting and I ended up looking him up on Google.

If you could go back in time, you would go to:

The late 60’s early 70’s, they had the best fashion, cars, parties.
